Supramolecular Nanowire

Functional supramolecular assembly can be constructed in a crystal by appropriate utilization of non-covalent bonding among molecules. We have successfully synthesized nanowires with insulating sheath aligned by crystalline periodicity by automatic assembly of conducting and insulating molecules.
